About...

David Emeny is a visual effects artist, app developer, amateur photographer and musician from the UK. He grew up in Brightlingsea (near Colchester), has a degree in Chinese from the University of Leeds and is happily married to Danni Li.

Visual effects...

I am currently working as compositor on Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for Nvizible, London (formerly Stranger FX). In the last year I have worked on six features at Nvizible as well as a music promo for director Jonathan Glazer.

Before that I worked as a compositor at Molinare London and CIS London on several features, including the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire and the critically acclaimed Moon. I also worked on three major films at Escape Studios in London.

iPhone app development...

Since Apple made its iPhone SDK available, I decided to learn Objective-C and see what I could make. The puzzle game Movie Blocks is my latest and personal favourite. See the media page for more games.

Photography...

In order to develop a deeper understanding of light, lenses and framing in my visual effects work, I purchased my first DSLR stills camera; the Canon 450D. See some of my favourite images on my Flickr account.

Music...

Since 1990 I have been producing music and playing guitar in bands. I was signed to Bolshi Records in 1999 as part of the breakbeat duo Milo, and released an EP which was available in all high street shops. For some of my favourite personal tracks visit the media page.
